I, We, Us, Our - means Centaurus Computers
You or your means the individual named on the invoice (customer)
System Configurations and Hardware Specifications
Centaurus Computer reserves the right to change any specifications and configurations without notice at any time. Additionally Centaurus Computers may at own discretion replace parts used in any particular build as selected by customer with parts of equal or better value and performance levels and always with same or better quality. Substitutes are also possible when any particular part is not compatible with another part or prevents its proper installation. CC may substitute brands listed in configurator unless specific model is listed, then only original part may be used. Centaurus Computers reserves the right to make above listed changes without notifying buyer if such changes or upgrades do not lower final product performance levels, quality or substantial design within reasonable limits. Some upgrades may be offered after order is placed at an additional charge, optional for customer. Centaurus Computers is on no way responsible for any personal, emotional or any other damages caused by such upgrades when they are deemed beneficial or necessary in any particular situation.
3 Year Limited Warranty For Complete Systems and Components
Centaurus Computers complete systems come with a 3 year limited warranty from original invoice date (system components are defined as all major component inside the case, excluding special order items). A complete system is defined as the combination of an operational CPU unit, motherboard, hard drive and other permanent storage media installed with an operating system at time of original shipment. Centaurus Computers will replace or repair any system component for a period of 3 years from the invoice date with all labor expenses paid by Centaurus Computers. The cost of parts is covered for one year from the date of the initial invoice, except as otherwise stated in this warranty. Processors and hard drives carry a 30 days replacement warranty from Centaurus Computers. Following parts are not covered including but not limited to: decorations on the case, LED lights, all kinds of sensors, front audio jacks (read manual), front case door, loud fans (which may be required for normal operation) and all other fans other than CPU cooler, all other components that are not critical to the normal operation of the computer within specified levels. All components are tested under heavy load before shipping of the unit; temperatures will be measured and kept below critical. In the following events parts can be replaced through original part’s manufacturer only (at your expense): excessive dust, high room temperatures, direct sunlight, spilled liquids or other substances, power surges, lightning and other acts of God, careless handling, physical damage and other conditions. Special order components not listed on the Centaurus Computers website, are covered by their respective manufacturer warranty and are not covered by any Centaurus Computers warranty. Centaurus Computers is in no way responsible for the incompatibility, assembly of and / or integration of kits, barebones systems and / or specially ordered parts from Centaurus Computers with other components not purchased from us. If a replacement component is no longer available or is discontinued, Centaurus Computers reserves the right to substitute the component for an equivalent part, or offer an upgrade option. This warranty is good for one year from the date of purchase, unless otherwise noted on the warranty - in the case of purchased extended warranties, or until you no longer own the computer, whichever comes first. After the Centaurus Computers warranty coverage for parts expires, the component manufacturer warranty may still be in place. If the Centaurus Computers parts coverage has expired, you must deal directly with the component manufacturer to receive repaired or replacements for defective parts.
Please make sure you keep all original packing materials and boxes for the duration of warranty. Warranty will be voided if computer transported on anything other than original packing to it’s full extent (double boxes and filling).
Centaurus Computers is responsible for the costs of shipping repaired parts and systems to the customer via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground within the contiguous United States (ie, not including Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, etc.). Centaurus Computers reserves the right to charge the customer for the shipping costs of returning the part or system back to the customer more than $40. In this manner, the customer may request upgraded shipping (like international shipping, faster delivery, etc. that costs more than $40). Under no circumstances is Centaurus Computers responsible for the costs of any warranty repair shipping more expensive than UPS or FedEx Ground within the continental United States. Centaurus Computers reserves the right to upgrade the customer's shipping - at Centaurus Computers discretion - to a faster delivery method at Centaurus Computers expense, but shall not be obligated to do so. Centaurus Computers is not responsible for customer expenses associated with shipping the product back to Centaurus Computers for warranty service. Warranty will be voided if computer transported in anything other than original packing to it’s full extent (double boxes and filling).
Lifetime Technical Support Warranty For Complete Systems
Any customer who purchases a complete system from Centaurus Computers is entitled to free technical support for as long as they own the system. To obtain technical support services, customers should contact Centaurus Computers technical support department at the toll free phone number provided to you upon shipment to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. For faster service, please have the following information available when you contact us:
- your order number
- name the order was placed under
- address the computer system should be shipped to after any necessary repairs are made
- serial number from the system chassis (if appropriate)
- detailed description of the problem requiring support including error messages and a record of exactly what you were doing with the PC when the error or breakage occurred.
An Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number is required for all returned items and may be obtained from your Centaurus Computers tech support rep.
If customer is not satisfied with a Centaurus Computers purchase and would like to return it for a refund within period specified below, just contact us by phone or email and obtain RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). If returned product is undamaged by the customer and there is at least one hardware manufacturer defect found, we will issue a full refund with no restocking fees unless otherwise stated in this warranty. All returns must be in "as shipped" condition - same condition as when it shipped and in the same packing materials. Centaurus Computers reserves the right to charge the customer for missing items, opened or registered software and physically damaged parts.
If there are no manufacturer defects found in the system and the system is as listed in the customer order details (changes as specified below permissible), Centaurus Computers reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee in addition to any charges required for missing or damaged product plus return shipping costs on all systems returned. We do not accept returns for refund more than 30 days after the original invoice or 15 days after the system is signed for at delivery whichever is later. This allows the desktop to be in the customer's possession for at least 15 days and insures that the customer has plenty of time to judge if the computer is satisfactory.
We do not accept returns on custom ordered parts (parts not listed on our web site). The customer is advised to utilize the manufacturer warranty for any items not listed as for sale on the Centaurus Computers web site.
Defective Parts Return Service
If the customer notifies Centaurus Computers of a manufacturer defect within 30 days of original invoice or within 15 days of original delivery, Centaurus Computers may build a completely new replacement system or replacement component and ship it to the customer. If the customer does not return the defective, replaced part or system to us within 7 business days of receipt of the complaint, the customer will be charged for the shipped replacement part or system. If we later receive the defective part or system within 30 days of the customer's receipt of the replacement part, the charge to the customer may be refunded upon consideration.
If a replacement OEM part is no longer available or is discontinued, Centaurus Computers reserves the right to substitute the original OEM product for an equivalent part or offer an upgrade option. If parts returned as defective to Centaurus Computers for replacement or refund are tested by Centaurus Computers technicians and found to be in correct working order, customers are subject to a $20.00 diagnostic fee, in addition to any shipping and handling charges incurred by Centaurus Computers, at Centaurus Computers discretion. Additionally, a 15% restocking fee may be applied to such parts or systems falsely claimed to be defective and returned for refund.
Information regarding you or your order and the products you purchase will not be given or sold to any outside organization unless required by law. We define "outside organization" as any person or entity not directly associated with the sales, billing, assembly, testing and shipping of your purchase. Your personal information is only given to agents of this company that must have that information fulfill and deliver your order to you. Only the portion of your information that is necessary is shared. For instance, only our sales and billing department ever see your financial information. Nobody else is authorized to view customer credit card information.
Toll Free Tech Support for as Long as You Own the Computer
When you purchase a computer from us, we include toll free tech support for that computer for as long as you own the computer. You receive the toll free tech support phone number along with the tracking number for the computer when the computer ships from us.
Restocking Fees Within 30 Days
If you received defective hardware or did not receive what you consider satisfactory service, we will not charge restocking fees. However, to protect ourselves from people who might abuse this policy, Centaurus Computers reserves the right to charge a 15% restocking fee that may be applied to returned product lacking manufacturer defects. Shipping damages do not qualify for “no restocking fee return” as we are not responsible for them and will offer appropriate repair service.
Centaurus Computers must be notified in writing of a cancellation through the Centaurus Computers Email Support. The customer may also call our 24/7 support and have the support tech file the phone cancellation request in the system. The customer is responsible for getting a cancellation number, either directly from email support system or from the 24/7 support tech on the phone, to confirm the cancellation. There will be 5% cancellation fee on all canceled processed orders even if the order has not shipped.
Outside forces can effect our assembly time; therefore, we do not guarantee that your order will be shipped in any particular time. Although, we certainly make every effort to get your order to you as quickly as possible. After your order is placed, it takes from 7 - 10 business days before a new system is delivered via standard FedEx ground shipping depending on where you live. US continental states only, tracking number will be provided on the day of shipping. Centaurus Computers uses FedEx Ground service for shipping purposes and FedEx takes responsibility for the safe package arrival. We obtain shipping insurance for the whole purchase amount for all packages. If package/computer arrives damaged, Centaurus Computers will process claim via FedEx to return computer back for repairs. In such case FedEx usually will pickup damaged package from your location. We will assist you along the process and you will not be charged any additional fees, we may offer some sort of compensation (non monetary) at our discretion for the inconvenience. Free shipping offers are limited to one time one way shipping of assembled computer as new order (except computers returned from repair service).
Any time you ship a computer to us, you MUST pack the computer properly. On return shipments, Centaurus Computers is not responsible for damage caused by improper packing by customer. Computers should be double boxed, with at least two inches of packing material between the boxes. On all shipments, if packing was adequate and courier is at fault for damages, we may handle all repairs.
ALWAYS SAVE YOUR BOXES! Most of the shipping damages happen when the customer doesn’t have original packaging to ship item. It is incredibly difficult to ship a computer without the original box and packaging!
We do not ship out on Saturday or Sunday or national holidays. Due to shipper restrictions we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. All shipments are subject to stock availability. Our shipping charges are based on each individual product's weight and the time it takes to pack each box with sufficient care and packaging to expect the product to arrive safely, and are calculated as determined by Centaurus Computers. We use special double packaging and filler to protect merchandise, which affects shipping charges. Desktops generally ship in approximately seven (7) to ten (10) business days. Centaurus Computers does not guarantee any ship times included on this site, nor does Centaurus Computers guarantee any claims made by any carrier.
Centaurus Computers charges a 7.25% sales tax fee for orders to be delivered to addresses within North Carolina regardless of city or county. If the customer is tax exempt and provides the required tax-exempt information to Centaurus Computers before ordering, there will be no sales tax charged. Each customer shall be solely responsible for all sales taxes, customs fees, or other taxes, on orders shipped to any other state or country in accordance with the laws of that locality.
Return Policy (continues)
To return merchandise for credit, repair or replacement, the customer must obtain a Return Merchant Authorization number (RMA). To obtain an RMA, contact us with your product number, your name, reason you are returning the system and a request for an RMA. All returns require an RMA. Packages without an RMA will not be accepted for refund. Due to limited stock, replacements for some products may not be available and cannot be guaranteed. Centaurus Computers is not liable for shipments made to us. We recommend that our customers use a reputable, traceable shipping method such as UPS, FedEx or DHL with good packaging (original packing preferred) and full insurance paid. The RMA number that was issued to you should be clearly written on each side of the box.
Unopened products may be returned/refunded for full credit, at Centaurus Computers discretion, and must be received by Centaurus Computers within 30 days of the original invoice date. The return/refund of any product may be subject to a 15% restocking fee, at Centaurus Computers discretion, and must be received by Centaurus Computers within 30 days of the original invoice payment date. We cannot and will not pay refunds on opened software or printers. After 30 days of the original invoice payment date, no returns/refunds on unopened and/or opened product will be accepted. Please allow 30 business days for refunds to be processed. Additional time may occur for settlement with individual banks.
We utilize Google Checkout credit card processing service on our website. That makes shopping with us secure and convenient, as we do not hold any personal information on our website, do not transmit it anywhere and do not share. Customers deal directly with Google Checkout system to make payments. As soon as Google Checkout transfers money to our account we consider your order processed. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify Google Checkout immediately and notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. We have designed our online store to give you options concerning the privacy of your credit card information, name, address, e-mail and any other information you provide us. We are committed to data security with respect to information collected on our site. Help protect yourself - we strongly encourage you to use your billing address as a shipping destination to minimize risk of fraud, however unlikely a scenario it may seem. For protection of our customers, we ship only to the verified billing address or authorized shipping address registered with the customer's credit card issuer. Authorized shipping address can be obtained upon contact of the credit card issuer. Credit card issuer registers alternative (shipping) address upon customer's authorization in addition to existing billing address for Internet deliveries.
To register an alternative address (not the same as billing - for example your office or relative's place of residence), call the toll-free number on the back of your credit card and ask them to add a temporary authorized shipping address.

Terms and Conditions of Sale

Important Information About This Legal Contract
This Sale Agreement is a legal contract between the Customer and Centaurus Computers. The Customer accepts this Sale Agreement by making a purchase, placing an order, or otherwise shopping on the Site. (References to "you" or "your" shall relate to the Customer; references to " Centaurus Computers " shall relate to Centaurus Computers). References to "OEM" refer to the Original Equipment Manufacturer. The terms and conditions of this Sale Agreement are subject to change without prior notice, except that the terms and conditions posted on the Site at the time the Customer initially places or modifies an order will govern the order in question.
This Sale Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Customer and Centaurus Computers relating to the purchase or sale of goods or services on the Site. The Sale Agreement may only be modified or terminated with regard to goods or services that have been purchased or sold on the Site in a writing signed by Centaurus Computers. Electronic records (including signatures), that are otherwise valid, shall be accepted under the Sale Agreement. The Customer consents to receiving electronic records, which may be provided via a web browser or e-mail application connected to the Internet; consumers may withdraw consent to receiving electronic records or have the record provided in non-electronic form by contacting Centaurus Computers.
In the event of any conflict between the terms and conditions stated on your purchase order and this Sale Agreement or any terms and conditions on our invoice, you agree that the provisions of this Sale Agreement and our invoice shall control.
Orders; Payment Terms; Taxes
Orders are not binding upon Centaurus Computers until payments are authorized by credit card issuer or other financial institution. Terms of payment are within Centaurus Computers sole discretion. Invoices are due and payable within the time period noted on the invoice, measured from the date of the invoice. Centaurus Computers may invoice parts of an order separately. The Customer is responsible for sales and applicable taxes associated with the order.
Secure Shipping Policy
For protection of our Customers, we ship only to the verified billing address or authorized shipping address registered with the Customer's credit card issuer or payment method account sponsor. Authorized shipping address can be obtained upon contact of the credit card issuer. Credit cart issuer registers alternative (shipping) address upon customer's authorization in addition to existing billing address for internet deliveries. To register an alternative address (different from address on your billing statement), call the toll-free number on the back of your credit cart for further assistance.
Secure Billing Policy
Centaurus Computers reserves the right to wait up to 30 days after the billing date before submitting an order to production in the case of credit card payments made with a country other than the continental U.S. listed in either the billing or shipping addresses; or in the case of billing or shipping addresses that fail our address verification test.
Credit Card Usage Surcharges
Centaurus Computers does not apply any credit card surcharges.
Accepted Payment Methods
Centaurus Computers will accept Mastercard, VISA, Discover, American Express, business check, cashiers check and money order as means of payment. All forms of payment are subject to verification. Centaurus Computers will accept personal and business checks for prepay orders, with a mandatory 5 business days reserved for clearing. We do not ship your order until your payment has cleared with the payment receiving institution. Centaurus Computers reserves the right to refuse an order from any Customer for if Centaurus Computers deems there is a sufficient risk of nonpayment or service abuse.
Any Trademarks used in the Site are trademarks of Centaurus Computers or their respective owners. Nothing contained on the Site should be construed as granting usage rights to any third party, by implication or otherwise without the written permission of any third party owner.
Centaurus Computers maintains this Site for your information, education, and communication. If you are browsing this Site as an employee/agent/member of any business or organization, you may download material displayed on the Site only for non-commercial purposes within your business or organization. This permission is specifically conditioned on your retaining all copyright and other proprietary notices contained on the materials.
